Pack up the family and take a bite out of the Gravenstein Apple Fair!
Children will love the Kid’s Area, a dedicated shaded area for hands-on arts & crafts just for them.
There are games for kids of all ages! We are pleased to welcome the Agrarian Games, presented by the Farmer’s Guild, where families can challenge one another during wheelbarrow relays, watermelon seed-spitting, and more. Cheer on local farmers as they compete for the gold and cast your vote in the Ugly Produce Beauty Pageant.
For some more old fashioned fun, enter to win the fair’s popular pie eating contests & apple juggling tournament. Kids will love the tractor pedal pull game with the Young Farmers & Ranchers, the educational honeybee game with Sonoma County Beekeeper Association, and the scavenger hunt and insect exhibit with SSU Biodiversity Outreach.
Live entertainment at the fair includes singalongs and beeeeeautiful roaming performers that will delight the little ones. Plus, kids will love playing in the hay maze and with giant bubbles.
Children will learn about life on the farm, meet the animals, and see how to milk a cow and shear a sheep.
Families will enjoy taking a trip back in time with the Old Engines.
Snoopy fans will enjoy a visit to the Charlies M. Schulz Museum‘s traveling exhibit, Peanuts…Naturally. Through original Peanuts comic strips, videos, and objects, Peanuts…Naturally explores the Gang’s interpretations of the “web of nature,” climate changes, trees, birds, gardening, and more. This exhibition also encourages visitors literally to get in touch with their natural surroundings through hands-on activity centers that provide practical advice on how individuals can be good environmental stewards in their own communities.
The “sweetest little fair in Sonoma County” truly has something for everyone, young and old!
New this year, is a baby changing station and nursing area, thanks to the Diaper Wagon, Sonoma County’s sustainable diaper service.
